The Lord Selkirk School Division Albert Beach Educational Trail is the perfect trail for folks looking for a shorter walk while staying close to all the amenities Albert Beach has to offer. This trail loop is around 1.2km long and takes roughly 30 minutes to complete. The trail is located on the edge of Albert Beach just as you enter the town. The trail entrance is only a 10 minute walk from Saffies General Store so after your walk you can treat yourself to some fresh baked goods.

This trail has one of the best mature birch growth areas in the province and a dense forest that surrounds you while on the trail. While visiting the trail, make sure you scan the QR code on trail sign to learn additional information about the site.

The entire trail is around 3.6km and typically takes about 1 hour to complete (there and back) but I would suggest giving yourself a bit more time so you are able to take in all of the interesting facts. Halfway through, the trail transitions into a wetland area, where you can spot diverse bird species and other wildlife. Each visit brings new discoveries, whether it’s a unique plant or the symphony of sounds from frogs, birds, and grasshoppers. It’s a peaceful reminder of the vibrant life that surrounds you.
