The 1st Annual Osprey Biijigigwane Adventure Race Series for Manitoba high school students will take place on Friday, May 23rd, 2025 at Grand Beach Provincial Park. This race is designed for students that are new to adventure racing and wanting to experience the exciting challenges and excitement adventure racing has to offer. The race will have a 3 hour time limit and include the following disciplines, biking, paddling and trekking.

Before You Register!
Before you register, please read the following information to ensure you are all set to sign up your students teams.
Safety Certification
All students must successfully complete the Canadian Swim to Survive Standard swim test to enter deep water. Please consult Swim Test for additional information.
The event must follow MPASS and your school division guidelines. For more information, please review the MPASS website here.
Teams
Teams must consist of 3 students.
Equipment
Each team will need the following in order to participate
a canoe that fits all three team members or 3 single kayaks
a mountain or gravel bike for each team member
one compass per team
Orienteering
Orienteering is a critical part of adventure racing. Before registering, please ensure your team is comfortable reading a map and using a compass for directions.
Cost
The total cost is $75 per team ($25 per student)
Waiver
All participating students must sign a Beaches of 59 waiver along with any waiver required by your school division.
