Learn to Ice Fish

Saturday, February 15th, Beaches of 59 is hosting two (three hour), Learn to Ice Fish sessions. On Lake Winnipeg at Yellow Brick Road, Belair, Manitoba in the RM of Alexander.
All required equipment will be provided for use free of charge during the event. Only $25 per person to attend.
Purchase your tickets below. Space is limited, max 65 people per time slot. You can purchase your rod and reel combo for an additional $20.00 ($45 total)!
Choose from 1 of the 2 available sessions, morning or afternoon. This event is for newbies, or people without their own equipment, to come see what it is all about! All required equipment will be provided for use free of charge at this event. At time of registration or even at the event, you can choose to purchase your rod and reel for an extra $20.00. No refunds available.

Experienced fishermen and women volunteers will be on hand to help you throughout the day.
Our experienced volunteers will demonstrate how to drill holes, bait hooks, clean fish, and other best safe practices!…. and hopefully…. how to catch fish! -
A 20 foot X 40 foot wind shelter will be constructed for this event to keep you out of the wind and warmer. Warm up stations will also be located throughout shelter and in the trailer. Fishing holes will be pre-drilled for you both inside the shelter and outside.

We recommend you dress warm for the weather including winter boots, ski pants, mitts, toques and neck warmer or balaclava. Easy to take off a layer if your too warm.

Each participant will receive a free hot dog and chips with a warm drink.
Children 14 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult. Each participant must agree to the Liability Waiver in order to fish. When buying the tickets you will be asked to agree to the Liability Waiver of the Beaches of 59 Learn to Ice Fish event.
